SIMP-SGI, Padua, September 2025
From September 16th to 18th 2025, the SIMP-SGI Conference took place in Padua, Italy. Barbara Čeplak was given the opportunity to give a talk titled “Geogenic and anthropogenic geochemical associations of elements in alluvial sediments and suspended particulate matter as indicators of anthropogenic elemental anomalies in an Alpine river – case study of the Mura River, Austria and Slovenia” Her presentation focused on the similarities and differences in elemental associations identified in both stream sediments and suspended particulate matter.
Participating in the conference was a valuable experience, offering the chance to network, exchange knowledge and ideas with fellow students and established scientists, as well as laying the groundwork for potential future collaborations.
