MURmap Research Presented Internationally: Three Talks at ESPEQ 2025 in São Pedro
MURmap research continues to gain international visibility - a recent example being the three invited talks delivered by members of the MURmap team at ESPEQ 2025 in São Pedro, Brazil (https://eventos.galoa.com.br/8o-espeqbrazil-e-17o-rsas/page/5485-welcome). The renowned conference spanned an entire week and focused primarily on analytical methods and their applications in environmental research.
As part of this international exchange, the MURmap team presented the latest advances from the project - ranging from innovative analytical approaches to new insights into environmental processes and their isotopic signatures. The three talks (Thomas Prohaska, Johanna Irrgeher, Stefan Wagner) attracted considerable interest and were very well received by the scientific community.
Following the conference, Johanna Irrgeher continued her trip to present the results at additional research institutions. She visited the universities of Santa Maria (UFSM) and Pelotas (UFPEL), where she discussed recent developments with colleagues, strengthened collaborations, and explored potential avenues for future research. With these new collaborations in Brazil, it is once again evident that MURmap is not only regionally relevant, but an internationally recognized research initiative that is contributing important momentum to the field of environmental analytics.
